How to use this interactive map

This activity is one of the ways you can share your feedback about the proposed concepts for new infrastructure in the centre of the Halifax Peninsula that will better support people walking, rolling, and cycling.

It may be helpful to learn more about the project before participating on the interactive map. You can read the summary of previous public engagement sessions and review the responses to frequently asked questions here.

When you’re ready, review each concept and consider the following questions:

  • What do you like about this concept, and why?
  • What do you dislike about this concept, and why?
  • What changes or additions would you suggest for this concept?
Navigate the map

Zoom in to see the map up close: scroll using your mouse/trackpad or use the arrows at the top right corner of the map. Click and drag the map to pan to different locations.

Click on the Info Markers to see descriptions of the concept at that location.

Click on the Tree Removal Markers to see where trees would need to be removed to enable a proposed option.

Move between tabs

Click on the tabs above the interactive map to navigate between each of the concepts. There is one concept in each tab.

Make a comment

Click the "Add Marker" button at the bottom of the map and drag one of the marker types to a spot that you would like to comment about.

Like Dislike Idea

Add your comment in the pop-up box. Please do not enter any personal information in the comment box and restrict your comments to discussing one of the concepts.

Agree to the terms and conditions, and click "Add Comment".
